From March 4-7, the 14th Moot Shanghai International Commercial Mock Arbitration Competition was held, this session of competition was co-sponsored by Shanghai University of Political Science and Law (SHUPL), East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL), Shanghai Arbitration Commission (SAC) and Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC). On March 7, the Closing and Awarding Ceremony was held at China Financial Information Center.
Prof. Liu Xiaohong, President of SHUPL and Director of SAC, was invited to present awards and delivered a speech at the closing ceremony. Prof. Liu pointed out in her speech that the dedication of each participant has made the 14th Moot Shanghai fantastic and successful. SHUPL is willing to have extensive and in-depth exchanges with legal professionals from all over the world, and also looks forward to taking an active part in the internationalization of China's commercial arbitration.
Prof. Zheng Shaohua, Vice President of SHUPL, emphasized in his speech at the opening ceremony that through Moot Shanghai, law students both from home and abroad can deepen exchanges, enhance their professional skills, and become an dynamic force in international commercial dispute resolution and the development of judicial system in the future.
As a well-known international competition hosted by SHUPL, Moot Shanghai is committed to building a platform for law students and legal professionals from all over the world to exchange and communicate, and jointly promoting the cultivation of international legal talents to a higher standard.
