Objectives:Students are requested to master thebasic principles of art aesthetics and the law of art creation and criticism,step up their perceptual cognition to a rational cognition in the aestheticpractice, and build aesthetic judgment and improve art culture for theirfurther study in arts of movie and television.
Contents:The course is one of the basictheoretical courses for the undergraduate of 4-Year Broadcast and Television(Documentary) majors. It gives a systematicintroduction to the concepts and characters of Art, including the essence andnature of the aesthetic forms and characteristics, the resource and function ofart, the art’s existing modes, hierarchy structure ofartwork, forms of art production, classifications of art form, and aestheticcharacteristics of various arts; the quality of artists, the course of artcreation, and art appreciation and criticism, etc.
