课程目标：帮助学生掌握刑法学的基本原则、适用范围、犯罪的概念、犯罪构成、犯罪形态、刑罚的种类和制度，以及各种犯罪的概念、构成要件以及处罚原则等理论和立法内容。结合课堂讨论、案例分析、法律实践，培养学生运用所学知识准确分析案例、正确定罪量刑的理论联系实际的能力。引导学生深刻领悟刑事法治与保障人权的精神。
课程内容：本课程教学分为刑法总论和分论两大部分。其中，刑法总论由刑法概说（主要包括刑法的内涵和外延、刑法的任务、刑法效力、刑法的基本原则等内容）、犯罪论（主要包括犯罪概念、犯罪构成、正当化行为，以及未完成犯罪、共同犯罪、单位犯罪和罪数形态四种犯罪形态等内容）和刑罚论（主要包括刑罚体系和量刑、行刑、刑罚消灭等刑罚制度等内容）三部分构成。

Objectives：This course provides students with basic principles and scope of application of the criminal law; conception of crime; constitution of crime; pattern of crime; types of punishments. Combined with class discussion, case analysis and judicial practice, students are able to analyze the case, apply the proper law to cases so as to understand the essence of justice and human rights.
Contents：This course covers three parts: 1) introduction to criminal law ( intension and extension; aim, validity and basic principles).2) crimes ( conception, constitution, legitimate defence, crimina attempt, joint crimes, crimes committed by a unit). 3) punishments ( types, sentencing, execution, elimination).
Prerequisite：Jurisprudence, China Constitution, China and Foreign Legal History
Students：specialized in law (Bachelor Degree)
